Military personnel has the right to receive a pension in the following cases:
1- Reaching formal retirement age provided he completed the first trial year. 2- Military who finished service with no less than 18 years of actual military service or 20 years of military & civil actual service, 8 years of it is military service. 3- Military who reaches 55 years old. 4- Military who asks for early retirement with no less than 15 years of service, 8 years of it is military service. 5- Terminating of service for work interest according to military service regulations with no less than 15 years of service, 8 years of it is actual military service. The reason of termination should not be because of absence, disciplinary action or termination by law due to committing a crime. 6- The settlement of deceased pension (due to reasons not related to work) or medical invalidity is calculated as 70% of last salary or on the base of accumulated service. 7- Partial disability due to work deserve a pension equal to 80% of last salary or on the base of accumulated service. 8- The settlement of deceased pension due to work is calculated as full last salary. 9- The settlement of full disability pension due to war operations or imprisonment is calculated as the salary of higher grade of the rank upper to his rank. The settlement of partial disability pension that prevents him from work is calculated as 4/5 the last salary.
The settlement of retirement pension is calculated as 1/35 increment of last salary as the following:
Last basic salary × # of years of service/ 35
Lump sum:
1- Lump sum is settled when service is terminated, for non disciplinary action if the service is less than 18 years and the military did not reach formal retirement age, on the basis of 1 month salary for each year (first 5 years) and 2 months salary for each year (second 5 years) and 3 months salary after that.
2- Lump sum is settled when service is terminated, for disciplinary action if the service is less than 18 years and the military did not reach formal retirement age, on the basis of 1 month salary for each year (first 5 years) and 2 months salary after that.
